Cheesy Bread

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 10 g salt
  • 325 g milk
  • 7 g dry yeast
  • 5 g sugar
  • 50 g butter, room temperature

Garlic butter:

  • 4 garlic cloves
  • olive oil
  • 50 g butter, room temperature (for filling)
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 200 g white cheddar cheese (or another cheese you like), grated

Directions

Dough:

  1. Knead flour, salt, milk, dry yeast, sugar, and butter until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.

Garlic butter:

  1. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Mix butter, garlic, olive oil, and chopped parsley, then spread evenly over the dough.

  2. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the surface, then shape into a loaf and place in a baking tray or loaf tin.

  3. Bake until deeply golden and cooked through. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
